Terms of Service

Shared Stake is a developing nonpartisan civic initiative focused on building connections among communities with different histories around genuinely shared civic interests. The Site describes that mission and allows interested people to register for updates. Nothing on the Site is an endorsement of, or a statement of affiliation with, any organization, official, candidate, or political party unless expressly stated.

When you register, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. Registration is free and creates no membership, obligation, or partnership. The optional consent boxes control only whether we may send you information and educational materials and whether we may send you text-message event reminders. You may withdraw either consent at any time by contacting us. Message and data rates may apply to text messages once text messaging is active.

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or another person's information
• Use the Site to send unsolicited messages, harass others, or interfere with the Site's operation
• Attempt to access any non-public part of the Site or its systems
• Copy or reuse Site content for commercial purposes without written permission

The Shared Stake Coalition name, logo, and original Site content belong to Shared Stake. Third-party videos, quotations, and materials presented on the Site remain the property of their owners and are included for their relevance to the Shared Stake concept; their inclusion does not indicate endorsement of, affiliation with, or participation in Shared Stake by their creators.

Content on the Site is provided for general informational and civic-education purposes. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shared Stake and its convener are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

We may update these Terms as the coalition develops; the effective date above shows the latest revision. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
